Good stuff - any practical ideas on how to "start working on [peacemaking] immediately"?

Good question. On my end, I'm going to be more deliberate about treating conversations as an exchange of perspectives rather than a battle of wits.

This is good - humility is always difficult and always necessary. Thanks.

This year's presidential election threatens American constitutional democracy in that one candidate has attempted to stay in power after losing a free and fair election by overthrowing the Constitution. The Utah Monthly has already spoken to this and agrees. I know that peacemaking does not preclude standing up for what is right. In fact a wise religious leader talking about peacemaking declared that he was not talking about "peace at any price." This reminds me of Winston Churchill warning fellow Britons who wanted to negotiate with Hitler: "You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth." I feel like the tiger has our head in its mouth.

What can the UM share that will help peacemakers who see the Constitution in the gravest of dangers with the threat of the re-election of the former president?
