Thank you for this! It resonates with my experience. For most of my life I believed in God because of my relationship with the Church of Jesus Christ. But a few years ago, something shifted. My relationship with God became preeminent. I started to be open to God surprising me, and began to have more and varied encounters. Whenever I start to think I have God figured out, I cut myself off from God and find myself needing to repent.
